The Retention team is not a sales team. Most calls are spent teaching customers about their products and how to best benefit from their features. One of the key skills is the ability to build rapport with the caller, and really identify how you can best help them.

Our Retention Team ensure that customers considering surrendering a policy are fully informed about all their options, and the implications they might face should they make a withdrawal.
This is done without the aid of special offers or bonuses to entice customers. This specialised Customer Services Team rely on their in-depth knowledge of a range of products to give the best direction possible to customers. Call handlers then estimate what will happen at the end of each call- whether the policy is retained, surrendered, or that the caller was undecided.

As the Retention team is still quite new to HBOS, each member has a huge influence in the development of the team. Everybody contributes to shaping how the team operates and new ideas are always welcomed.

New team members will be given intensive training- and will develop wide ranging and in-depth product knowledge, giving them a great overview of Bonds and Pensions products and how they work.

You will be given:

We're looking for people who want to build on previous customer service experience, and have a desire to learn combined with a natural ability to build rapport with callers.
You must have grade C or above in Maths and English GCSE level, and previous knowledge of Financial Services is a bonus, but not essential.
